Create Thrive opened its doors in 2018 with the goal of providing software development services to companies abroad. At that time, it was a two-person team handling two clients. As the need for additional staff arose, the company began to grow.
By 2020, still a young and developing company with 18 employees and continuing to expand, it had several clients in the United States and a technically strong team. However, there was a need to consolidate tasks related to the commercial side of the business. The company hired a Sales Representative, the first role dedicated solely to sales to address this.
The Challenge
Create Thrive faced significant competition in 2020, with many companies offering similar services. Additionally, it lacked proper market segmentation or specialization to differentiate itself.
The company also did not have a defined commercial process with clear steps and associated metrics. No prospecting campaigns were conducted to generate potential clients; instead, clients came to the company through referrals. Lastly, there were no guidelines for managing existing clients in a way that could generate new business opportunities with them.
At that time, the company’s objective was to strengthen its commercial processes for its web and mobile development services. The goal was to establish a streamlined outreach lead funnel in the U.S. market to reduce dependency on referrals.
The Consulting Work with Beyond Partners
Beyond Partners provided consulting services that year to strengthen the company’s commercial capabilities for exporting IT services to the U.S. This initiative marked the starting point for the creation of the Sales Area, which later implemented a functional strategy that the company continued to develop internally over time.
The goal was to transition the company from a passive approach in its commercial area to actively contacting potential clients, ensuring efficient resource use, securing a steady workflow, and allowing the company to choose its clients. This approach aimed to mitigate the risk of losing a client and being left without work for employees.
The consulting process included participatory, practical, and collaborative technical assistance, achieving the following outcomes:
- Refinement of the Value Proposition: The company’s value proposition was refined, identifying target segments and highlighting its unique differentiators. This was achieved by working with the founders, internal team, clients, and through competition analysis.
- Professionalization of the Sales Process: The commercial process was strengthened and formalized, with a collaboratively defined and documented process for lead generation and opportunity management.
- Support for Creating the Sales Area: Assistance was provided in establishing the Sales Area, including the initial onboarding of the Sales Representative, particularly focusing on prospecting new potential clients using the previously defined commercial process.
- Knowledge Transfer Tools: Beyond Partners developed eBooks for Create Thrive, facilitating knowledge transfer beyond the conclusion of the consultancy.
This comprehensive approach ensured that the company had a strong foundation for sustainable and proactive commercial operations.

VGV acquired Create Thrive in June 2023 to build the largest and strongest Flutter team globally, with a rigorous commitment to production quality and deep full-service capabilities to help businesses launch and scale their development projects across platforms. Having collaborated on multiple client projects and within the Flutter community, the idea of an acquisition arose naturally. Together, VGV and Create Thrive formed the largest Flutter team in the world, significantly enhancing their ability to scale as a team.
